Job Summary

PAYOTEK is looking for a highly qualified Data Scientist to join the Backoffice Management team supporting PAYOTEK’s rapid and sustained global growth. The ideal candidate will have outstanding problem solving skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast–paced, high-growth environment. Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines consistently and capability to work well under pressure is a must.

Duties &  Responsibilities

• Be an out-of-the-box thinker who is passionate about brainstorming innovative ways to leverage our unique data to predict, prevent and solve business problems.
• With stakeholders to understand the challenges they face and present clear data to convince them of and solutions.
• Communicate with business partners and stakeholders to understand the business challenges, formulate the problems, come up with clear strategies & solutions and communicate them back effectively to both technical and a non-technical audience.
• Apply quantitative analysis, and data mining to extract, capture and understand data to form an opinion on how to best help our clients and derive relevant insights for strategies in customer interaction and product or business growth.
• Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
• Work with large volumes of data; extract and manipulate large datasets using standard tools such as Python, R, H2O, Hadoop and SQL
• Develop visualizations to make your complex analyses accessible to a broad audience.
• Partner with a variety of internal teams and external partners to provide comprehensive solutions.
• Provide technical assistance in the areas of machine learning and data sciences in building the various components of the semantics layer.
• Take responsibility for driving the design and development lifecycle and algorithmic innovations.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques and develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Requirements & Qualifications

• An engineering graduate or a full-time on-campus MBA graduate from a reputed institution.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the Financial markets/ Banking domain.
• At least 3+ years of experience in any: Python, R.
• Strong fundamentals in Advanced Analytics, Machine learning, Statistical modelling, Descriptive modelling and Deep learning.
• At least one demonstrable stint of working on Design solutions for complex business problems related to BIG Data by using NLP/ Machine Learning/ Text Mining techniques.
• Experience in using new-age Visualization tools & Statistical tools.
• Ability to handle businesses and enable customers in consuming actionable insights.
• Strong in conceptualizing Analytics solutions and scale-up analytics outcomes.
